The Seminary of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest is situated in Tuscany, near Florence and less than 300 km from Rome, at Gricigliano, within the Villa Martelli, a Renaissance building built and transformed by the family of the Counts Martelli.

The Spirit of our House of Priestly Formation

The seminary: Villa Martelli

Providentially situated between Rome and France, in Tuscany whose incomparable nature serves as a setting for some of the masterpieces of Christian art, the House of Priestly Formation of the Institute of Christ the King sets itself the goal of preparing future priests in the spirit of the Church — that is, the spirit of Christ himself, transmitted through the centuries through Tradition, Papal Decrees, the canons of the Church, and Councils.

Conference of the Prior General

The seminarians are formed in this spirit under the patronage of Saint Francis de Sales, so attentive to the person in order to raise him to the Truth, and so necessary for the pedagogy he offers us in opposing the subjectivism and relativism of our age; of Saint Benedict, who teaches the regularity and order indispensable to all evangelical work; and of Saint Thomas Aquinas, the Common Doctor of the Church, who enables us to deepen the Truth we must communicate to the world.

The particular mission of the Institute is thus summarized in its Statutes: "the proclamation, the diffusion, the defense, in all aspects of human life, of the reign of Christ Our Lord."
